RECOGNITION AND ACCREDITATION
Schoolvision is recognized by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sciences as a University of Applied Sciences. In close cooperation with Team Academy, it offers the accredited Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship, registered under Isat 30117 in the Central Register of Higher Education Programmes (CROHO).
The Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering is yet to be accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). In the meantime, the programme is being delivered in alignment with NVAO standards to ensure academic and professional quality.
THE LEARNER EXPERIENCE
Enjoy flexible self-study and being part of a learner community. Get hands-on practice with your weekly projects and assignments and learn with and from your faculty and peers. In practice, a typical week would look like this:
- Digital Learning: Asynchronous content on the digital campus (videos, readings, exercises).
- Workshops: Interactive, practice‑oriented sessions focusing on real‑world challenges.
- Team Coaching: Weekly group coaching that bridges learning with professional practice.
- VIVAs: Portfolio‑based assessment moments at the end of each certificate to decide on progression.
- Research Supervision Sessions: Group sessions to design and conduct action research projects.
- Assignments & Projects: Weekly tasks, module projects, and integrated certificate projects.
- Reflection & Feedback: Continuous feedback using rubrics, journals, and dialogue tools.
- Town Halls: Community events every two months to share updates, feedback, and celebrate achievements.
TALENT ACCELERATOR PROGRAMME
The Talent Accelerator Programme is an integrated, voluntary part of the master’s journey that supports your career development in AI and technology leadership roles through 1‑1 coaching, job‑market guidance, and CV and personal‑branding support.
- 1‑1 career coaching sessions to identify goals and pathways.
- Guidance on AI/data job markets and opportunities.
- CV enhancement and personal branding support if you are transitioning into AI.
Software Engineering Curriculum
What you’ll cover throughout your learning journey.
Learners ensure they have the necessary Python background before starting the programme. This includes basic programming concepts, control flow, data structures, functions and Git workflows, either through a foundations course or a proficiency assessment.
Learners follow a nine‑week bridge module if they need reinforcement in Python, statistics, or leadership awareness. The module offers around 50 hours of targeted learning with weekly group mentoring to prepare for the professional master’s curriculum.
Learners move from business problems to data insights through exploratory data analysis, advanced visualisation and feature engineering. They start a self‑leadership inquiry into values, purpose and ethics, and learn core machine‑learning methods including regression, tree‑based models, SVMs, clustering, dimensionality reduction, interpretability and transparency.
Learners deepen their interpersonal leadership in group and organisational settings while studying deep learning and computer vision. They also work with large language models, covering NLP, transformer architectures, Hugging Face workflows and Retrieval Augmented Generation.
Learners focus on organisational leadership and designing interventions that create impact. They study responsible AI topics such as fairness, privacy and accountability, and learn ML Ops practices including cloud deployment, A/B testing, monitoring model performance, detecting data drift and retraining models.
Learners complete a work‑based Action Research project that addresses a real professional challenge. Supervision runs alongside the programme, and the final report and VIVAs demonstrate mastery of applied AI, leadership and practitioner research in a real organisational context.
